Services Performed
- Scanned the Engine Control Module (ECM) for diagnostic trouble codes and retrieved trouble codes P0128 – Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature), P0672 – Cylinder #2 Glow Plug Control Circuit and P0675 – Cylinder #5 Glow Plug Control Circuit. Thermostats are stuck open causing P0128. Glow plugs on cylinder #2 and #5 resistance measure out of range, recommend replacing all 8 glow plugs with new.
- Removed wheels and inspected brake linings. Front brake linings have 8 mm remaining. Rear brake linings have 5 mm remaining. Brake fluid level is clean and full. Master cylinder is new.
- Performed brake bleed procedure. Flushed brake fluid through brake lines. Road tested vehicle and brakes operate as designed.
- Drained the cooling system. Removed the thermostats and replaced with new. Added new coolant to the cooling system.
- Removed both front inner fender liners. Removed all glow plugs and replaced with new. Reinstalled inner fender liners. Cleared the diagnostic trouble codes. Performed drive cycle to run all monitors and verify repairs. All checks are ok at this time.
