2014 Toyota Corolla

Inspection revealed coolant inside the combustion chamber, confirming head gasket failure. Recommend cylinder head removal and gasket replacement to restore proper sealing and prevent further engine damage.
- Removed the intake manifold assembly. Removed the exhaust manifold assembly. Removed the valve cover. Removed the timing cover. Removed the timing chain. Removed the cylinder head and sublet for repairs. Reinstalled the cylinder head with new gasket and new cylinder head bolts. Reinstalled the timing cover with new gaskets. Replaced the water pump gasket with new. Replaced the thermostat gasket with new. Replaced the front crankshaft seal with new. Reinstalled the valve cover with new gasket. Reinstalled the intake manifold with new gasket. Reinstalled the exhaust manifold with new gasket. Replaced the spark plugs with new. Replaced the drive belt with new. Drained the engine oil and refilled with new. Replaced the oil filter with new. Vacuum bled the cooling system with new coolant. Cleared the diagnostic trouble codes. Road tested vehicle to verify repairs. Vehicle runs and drives as designed.

- Removed the instrument panel assembly. Removed the HVAC box assembly. Replaced the right side temperature actuator assembly with new. Evaporator core is leaking, replaced the evaporator core with new. Reinstalled the HVAC box assembly. Reinstalled the instrument panel assembly. Performed automated vacuum leak test, passed. A/C operates as designed.
