Removed the front wheels. Removed the front brake pads and replaced with new. Cleaned and lubricated the brake caliper hardware. Removed the front brake rotors for refinishing. Rotors are within specification and can be refinished.
Refinished the front brake rotors and installed. Reinstalled the front wheels and torqued to specification. Road tested vehicle to verify repairs. All checks are ok at this time.
Removed the transmission pan and drained the transmission fluid. Removed the transmission filter and replaced with new. Cleaned the transmission pan and gasket mounting surfaces. Reinstalled the transmission pan and torqued to specification. Added new fluid to the transmission. Road tested vehicle and rechecked fluid level. All checks are ok at this time.

The check engine light was illuminated on the 2018 Ford Explorer, with diagnostic trouble codes P0301, P0302, and P0300 indicating misfires on multiple cylinders. Upon inspection, the ignition coils were removed from the front bank to access the spark plugs. All spark plugs were found to be extremely loose—not even hand-tight—which allowed combustion gases to escape past the threads, causing misfire events and signs of blow-by. The spark plugs need to re-torqued to factory specifications. Re-torqued all spark plugs to factory specification. Cleared the diagnostic trouble codes. Misfire had returned on cylinder 1. Cylinder 1 ignition coil has failed due to excessive combustion blow buy. Needs cylinder 1 ignition coil and spark plug replaced.
Removed the cylinder 1 ignition coil. Removed the spark plugs and replaced with new. Replaced the ignition coil on cylinder 1. Cleared the diagnostic trouble codes. Road tested vehicle to verify repairs. Vehicle runs and drives as designed.
